Rsonance Crest

Below is the current status of the Resonance Crest I have been working on the past few weeks with what little free time I had spare (10mins per day, every day). It is not the final product but it is well on its way.

In my honest opinion it is still missing something, but I just can't pinpoint what. So any suggestions as to what can be added, taken away or even scrapped and changed entirely would be grateful (I take criticism well and will not get offended if it does not fit well).


There are currently two varieties:

Flat Version (big shape is very flat but the background is more succint)




Shadowed/3-D (Big shape given shadows and edges to make it look more like an object)






Addition: Main idea was to make a big R shape using musical connotation, this is the result of trying about 15 different notes, failing and then instead opting for a treble cleft and going from there.

wow, I like it very much. I had thought of a similar approach but I couldn't find a way to combine any musical symbols with the guild name that would look good.
You kinda created one character of a new font and a pretty amazing one. (if you feel like it, maybe even make a complete font of that)

First I was going to say that a flat crest would fit AA's crest designs better but the shadowy version simply looks better.

As to what is missing, how about silver trims ? Silver generally blend very nicely with all shades of blues .

Alternatively, maybe 5 horizontal lines in the background, like an actual staff ?


Also if possible, maybe that could make a nice front image for the Resonance group on Steam

I also felt like a musical note or something musical would have been the go to, but my lack of music knowledge only left me with the G clef, didn't really know where to go from there.
